Stop to read Romans chapter 8 today. In it you’ll read things like this:
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!
Paul wrote this to tell us emphatically—you do not have to live in fear. Not fear of war, of governments, of anything.
The opposite of fear is faith.
Faith is built on love. Faith built on love produces grace. Grace is the essence of generosity. This is the new life in Christ—this is our place of victory.
Act in faith today. We can see trouble all around us. Instead of being fearful, act in faith with acts of generosity.
Fear will subside as you fill your heart with love.
When we come together, declaring "If God is for us, who can be against us?", the very foundations of doubt and anxiety begin to crumble.
